How does a virtual server work?

Do you have multiple shared hosting packages but you're not ready for a dedicated server? In that case a Virtual Private Server is the perfect solution for you!
Special server software can divide one physical dedicated server into multiple virtual servers (VPS's). VPS's have their own operating system and can be installed independently from each other therefore they function just like (little) dedicated servers.

Virtual servers
A VPS is the ideal solution to discover the simplicity of a virtual server and host for example multiple websites. We offer two types of virtual server, with Plesk, or with Debian (without Plesk). The product pages show extended product information and give an overview of the possibilities.
Proved concept
The Virtuozzo software splits one dedicated server into multiple virtual servers. In this way, a virtual server optimizes the use of system resources - using the minimum when in rest, with the option to boost in case maximum performance is required. The dedicated servers of Flexservers contain the best available hardware, and are optimized for intensive use. A dedicated server, set up to contain multiple virtual servers, is called a hardware node.
The virtual servers function as dedicated servers: they have their own operating system and can be installed and managed independently of each other. With a VPS you can install software independently from other VPS users. On server level you can use your own configuration and adjust all user rights as you please.
Flexibility
A virtual server of Flexservers (both Plesk and Debian) gives you the freedom to divide your disk space among your or your customer's websites. You can create your own hosting plans; create POP boxes, databases and FTP users without limitations - a great advantage compared with shared hosting packages. The only limitation are the maximum number of domains, monthly traffic and available disk space.

Plesk control panel
Your virtual server has root access, and can be equipped with Plesk. Plesk is a control panel that allows you to manage your VPS.
